Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene
(CSM/Hypalon)

General introduction
Chlorosulfonated polyethylene, referred to as CSM, is a kind of elastomer which has completely saturated main chain and pendant group and can be vulcanized by all kind of cross linking agent. Because of its unique molecular structure, CSM vulcanizate has excellent ozone resistance and weatherability. In additional, properly formulated CSM vulcanizate has excellent resistance to heat, oil, chemicals and aging.

 SUNPREN CSM Series
TY-CSM Polymers supplies two series CSM grades, one is H-series, which is produced by traditional solvent technology; another is M-series, which is produced by non-solvent new technology (Gas-Solid phase technology).
 
² H-Series
H- Series is produced by traditional solvent technology. This series has excellent mechanical property and good solubility in some organic solvents. So not only it can be widely used for general rubber applications, some grades can also be used for applications such as coating and adhesives.
 
²M-Series
M- Series is produced by new non-solvent technology. Its production process is without solvents such as carbon tetrachloride, so it is environmental friendly and don’t destroy the ozone layer. So this series contains no harmful organic solvent and has no harm to operator’s health. And another point is, though this series’ mechanical property is a little lower than H-series, it can meet the technical demand of most general rubber application. Because this technology is environment friendly, it is easier to be approved for capability expansion.
So in the future this series is more cost-effective and is a better choice to replace H-Series.
